Yours Truly
That’s right you’ve hit the about page so sit back and enjoy the schpeel. Since you’re here, I’d love to introduce myself. The name’s Aurelia, think Amelia, but with an ‘R.’ I’ve been living with that beauty of a name for over three decades in the land of 10,000 lakes. That’s Minnesota dontcha know?!
Since graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I have pursued various endeavors relating to my creative studies and degree. I won’t bore you with all the nitty-gritty details, but if you’re into that kind of thing, you can find my full resume here. I’m currently employed at Gartner Studios on the Boutique Specialty Team. We serve a number of high-end retail clients such as Anthropologie, Crate&Barrel, and Magnolia. My role serves as a product designer for any number of goods including planners, acrylic organization, and tech organization.
Now we get to the ‘what do you do for fun?’ section. Well, I love my Netflix—but I mean, let’s be real, who doesn’t in this day and age? You can find me binge watching the latest original series any given day of the week. Documentaries are another go-to for me. I’m a lifelong learner and have this constant need to know more. The world we live in is fascinating, and I can’t seem to ever dive deep enough.
Another huge part of my life is music! Attending shows and festivals is such a therapuetic release. There are events I’m interested in nearly every season. These events usually involve traveling, and I won’t lie, I jump at the chance to get out of Minny. The next big adventure is always on my bucket list, and the countdown until I’m back on a plane seems like it’s burned into my brain.
As if I didn’t get enough designing done in my good ol’ 9-5, I also run an Etsy shop. I sell a variety of home goods and am constantly brainstorming ways to expand. You can check it out here.
That just about covers it, but I’m an open book so if there’s something you’re dying to know, ask away.
